JD are recruiting for an Acquisitions Surveyor and a Regional Estates Surveyor to join their busy department at Head Office in Bury, Lancashire.
Regional Estates Surveyor
Reporting to the Estates Manager, this full time position will primarily involve managing the Group`s leasehold portfolio in the northern section of the country and Scotland. Your main duties will include: proactively undertaking rent reviews, lease renewals, lease regears, and operating break options where necessary seeking and obtaining landlords` consents for alterations controlling service charge expenditure in your region managing the group`s rating agents, and managing interim and terminal dilapidations settlements.
Previous experience of dealing with rent review and lease renewal negotiations on prime high street retail units is essential, as is a close attention to detail and the ability to budget accurately.
Candidates must be MRICS qualified, possess strong negotiation skills, and demonstrate a sound working knowledge of leases. A full UK driving licence is essential for each role as travel throughout the country will be required.
